Creating leaders for tomorrow
The Community Leadership Academy (CLA) assists young leaders in community structures such as sports organisations, cultural associations and religious communities to improve their skills to launch and manage meaningful community projects that address local needs.
In this sense, the programme:
- strengthens social cohesion, i.e. the network of relationships in a community;
- strengthens social structures, such as care centres and food distribution projects in local communities;
- builds social trust; and
- restores hope through the mobilisation of communities to work for a common vision.
The CLA is a unique institution that fosters leadership skills and creative entrepreneurship that is mobilised for community development projects in local communities. Through its programmes community initiatives are supported and hope is given to impoverished communities.
